Other News
CCNC Volunteers. On June 14, a crew of 35+ CCNC employees volunteered at the offices and apartments of PLM Families Together, an organization that provides housing and comprehensive services for families experiencing homelessness in Wake County. Volunteers freshened paint on “Short-term Housing” apartments and administrative offices, cleaned windows, organized the food pantry, cleaned the office kitchen, raked, shoveled dirt, swept and more. Pediatric Highlights. Carolina Collaborative Community Care's pediatric team has led NC in increasing screening rates of children ages 0-20. Within the past year, ABCD screening increased from 83% to 85%, autism screening increased from 52% to 73%, screening for school age children increased from 10% to 34% and adolescent screening increased from 9% to 31%. Fantastic work 4C!
Bernstein Leadership Fellows. Congratulations to Randy Barrington (Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear) and Ron Gaskins (Northwest Community Care Network) on completing a two-year fellowship with the Jim Bernstein Community Health Leadership Program! Randy and Ron presented to the NCFAHP Board on May 23 at the NCHA offices in Raleigh.
Leadership Winston Salem Graduate. A second round of congratulations goes out to Ron Gaskins on graduating from Leadership Winston Salem on June 5! Leadership Winston-Salem educates, connects and energizes leaders to serve and improve the community. Great job, Ron!
