Dee Jones is a seasoned strategic operations leader with a passion for cultivating relationships and tackling complex challenges head-on. With a career spanning various industries, including manufacturing, technology, cable TV, and state government, Dee has consistently demonstrated her leadership capabilities. As the COO for the inaugural NC DHHS Division of Health Benefits and leading the NC State Health Plan, she implemented innovative strategies that enhanced service delivery for over 740,000 subscribers. Her passion for health care and health benefit delivery continues to grow.
A 22-year resident of Cary, NC, Dee’s commitment to her community is evident in her dedication to supporting her alma mater, NC State and serving on Boards at Advance Community Health and the National Institute for Public Employee Health Care Policy. Alongside her husband Patrick, and their son Justin, she balances a love for travel and sports with her professional ambitions.
As the newest member of the NC Office of State Human Resources, Dee is poised to leverage her dynamic expertise within the State of NC and in the health benefit arena to drive successful initiatives and foster collaborative success. Her forward-thinking approach and unwavering work ethic are set to make a lasting impact on this exciting opportunity.
