Thad Brown has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Thad started their career in 1997 as a Service Line Coordinator at NorthEast Medical Center. From there, they moved to NorthEast Health/NorthEast Medical Center as a Program Administrator and Network Development officer in 1998. In 2000, Thad joined Metrolina Health Initiative and served as the Director of Health Policy and Program Development. Thad then joined Trinity Healthcare Development Venture Fund (now dba Malloy and Company) in 2003 as the Managing Director until 2009.
Thad joined MedCost in 2008 as a Senior Consultant and contributed to the company's 300% growth in non-owner health system lives and associated revenues. Thad held various roles in MedCost, including Director of Strategic Health System Accounts and Planning, where they successfully supported health care system clients in transitioning to value-based care. Thad's most recent role at MedCost was as the Senior Director of Health Care Strategy, where they continued to drive business development efforts and achieve significant growth in non-owner lives and associated revenues.
Thad Brown obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Thad completed this degree from 1989 to 1993. Later, they pursued further education at the same institution and earned a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree in Integrated Health Systems, which they completed in 1996.
Thad became a CCNC Board of Manager in July 2024.
